We provide a fun and safe place at Northwest for your kids to learn about Jesus and grow in stature and in the Lord. From the time that children come to our nursery until they move on to the youth ministry, we have age-appropriate teaching and activities to teach them about Christ and about loving God and loving others.
Nursery- Northwest Baptist Church values keeping our children safe, spiritually, emotionally, and physically. The physical safety at Northwest is reflected through room environments with age-appropriate equipment, background checks and interviews with all volunteers and staff, as well as alarm coded doors that lead into our nursery area, only accessible with the proper code. We only allow registered parents and nursery workers access to our nursery during LifeGroup and worship times. It is our goal that you can confidently leave your child in the loving care of Northwest Baptist staff and volunteers. For more information please feel free to pick up a copy of our policy and procedures in our nursery offices.
As long as you are comfortable leaving your child we accept any age. There are pagers and a nursing room available for your convenience.
Kids have so much fun at Northwest on Sunday mornings! From birth through 6th grade, we have classes designed specifically for each age group to really interact and understand lessons and apply them to their lives. We learn about God, memorize the Word, and fellowship with our friends!
Extended is for the little ones, not quite ready for "big church". This is an extended time of learning about Jesus and having fun, while parents are getting a chance to worship withouth distraction. Ages birth through pre-K.
Join us August 29 for the AWANA kick off party!
For children from 2 years old through 6th grade, the AWANA program teaches them to learn and love the Word of God. If you want to see your child memorizing scripture and growing in this area, you will be encouraged by AWANA.
A new part of AWANA at Northwest is our "Live AWANA" nights. Every semester, our kids put feet to the Gospel. Last semester, the T&T kids took more than 300 homemade cookies and treats to the Ronald McDonald House across from Children's Hospital. Our younger children cleaned up the church grounds and made "Bags of Blessings" for families in need.
This is also a great place for adults to get involved; the children learn so much and challenge those around them in their growth in the Lord and in scripture memory! Please contact the children's office if you are interested in serving in this area!
Pre-K and Kindergarten Choirs are amazing places where the children sing about Jesus and you will love the way they learn about God through song. Our choir teachers are talented in working with children in this age group, and will bless you with the way they interact with your children.
This is the place for 1st-4th graders who want to have fun on Wednesday nights! We dance, sing and praise God and even play on a huge moon bounce slide! Grab a friend from school, and come along. You don’t want to miss this!
Elementz will combine with Shout Praise Kids during the summer, beginning May 26.
This ministry is designed for our tween kids in 5th and 6th grade. This group might not be old enough to join youth group yet, but have outgrown Shout... this is for you! We hang out, study the word together, play games, and learn to be followers of Christ. This is a great night to bring a friend from school, as we focus on living a life that reflects Christ.
Once a month we treat you to a night out for you and your spouse! The cost is only $6 per child with a maximum of $18 per family. Check the calendar to find the next date and reserve your spot! We have plenty of fun activities for the children so you aren't the only ones having a special evening out!
We spend five evenings each summer experiencing a Bible story and learning about God's love. This is a fun time to bring friends and make memories learning the Word of God!
Join us over Spring Break for our 5 day sports camp for 1st through 6th graders. This day camp teaches children the basics of sports and sportsmanship as well as the message and love of Christ! You won't want to miss this week of music, entertainment and fun!
